it was ok

I was totally excited to read this book after the first one (Austenland) but somehow my expectations maybe were set too high or were unrealistic. I was not sure I liked the flash forward and flashback way this was written. Also the heroine just wasn't someone that I was able to identify with. She did things that I would not do. I was not ready for a mystery stuck in the middle of this fantasy either. I really wanted to like this book and as the time passes since I finished it I find that it was like a piece of chocolate cake for me... I don't like chocolate cake but every now and again a piece looks so yummy that I can't pass it up and so I give it a try, only to find that I don't like how it tastes and it just wasn't as good as I had imagined. Am I being too critical?
