Junie B. Jones Is Not a Crook by Barbara Park is only one of the many books that take you on adventures. There is always something going on when Junie B gets involved. In this particular story, Junie loses a pair of mittens and goes searching for it. While searching for her mittens, she comes across a very nice pen and decides to keep it. Finders keepers, right? That's what Junie B. thinks until she gets caught. What is she to do now? Junie B. takes readers on another one of her wild rides. Where will she end up next?

One thing about these Junie B. books is that her character tends to be a little over dramatic. Her bold personality may make parents and even teachers question whether or not they want their child reading these stories. Junie can be somewhat rude, and cause a scene in the classroom by stomping her feet. If this is read in the classroom, teachers may need to address that this is not appropriate behavior for school.

There are some illustrations throughout these popular series books that make them fun to follow along. Junie B.'s facial expressions and body language really helps the reader feel the same way she does. A great series and one I have loved since I was in elementary school!
