did not like it

Going in assuming it would be a story of how a country would cycle through revolutions if the past is ignored, it comes off instead as a an argument between political extremes. Couched in conspiracies in place of hospital fact, both antagonist and protagonist fight like pendants on Fox News instead of any real ideas. This should be taken as a palate cleanser between well written literature, if at all.

I got the audiobook version and, having seen snippets of the text, it seems the narrator (the author) speaks clearly only during rage filled dialog; elsewhere there is an unnecessary pause every 2-3 words.

There is potential in the premise of a society that has no memory dealing with big issues. Several authors have attempted and succeeded. Sadly, other than some unique quotes, this book made me feel like I wasted my time hoping the next page would be better than the last.
