it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction

For Christopher Moore, the topic of this book was almost serious - artists, their works, their lives and deaths and most of all, their muses.

And it is beautifully, wonderfully done, drawing the reader very nicely done into Paris, the City of Light, during its artistic heyday.

But just as a sense of panic starts to set in - wait? is this really a christophr moore book?! - the humor and wit that he is known for starts to weave its way back in, a bit slowly at first, and then with full force.

A masterful book.
