really liked it

A good issue, mostly prose though there are also fine poems by Ginsberg ("Lysergic Acid") and Ferlinghetti musing on life after Castro 50+ years ahead of time. My favorite piece is a soaring essay on New York City by Brendan Behan but some of the short stories and excerpts here are very fine. Aidan Higgins, another Dubliner, is a new writer to me and his "Winter Offensive" is an amusing little tale of avarice rewarded. Octavio Paz's "The Blue Bouquet" is a splendid nightmare. I wish there were a magazine like Evergreen Review being published today.
