really liked it

Marcus has an amazing felicity with words, even on long digressions through atmospheric elements that aim to contextualize the work the Doors did. He references live work more than the more familiar studio material, and that may be an obstacle for some readers, but a lot of Marcus' recurring themes of the cult of celebrity and the subsequent self-loathing of worshipped celebrities show up here starkly.
