While I wouldn't recommend the New King James to a teenager the Extreme Teen Bible was pretty good.

Throughout the book there are short explanations explaining confusing verses, highlighted promises and various columns dedicated to teaching good Christian morals along the way, all backed up with verses and further reading.

With all the added blurbs it certainly isn't a dull read and I loved the facts and teachings at the beginning of each book.

NKJ is a tough ride, but this sure makes it a tad easier.
