Ask the Dust (The Saga of Arturo Bandini, #3)

I’m having a hard time separating my feelings about the book from my feelings about the main character. I read this book for an English class, so that also impacted my feelings. I began the book hating Arturo Bandini. As the pages turned, I realized that I loved hating him. As I was getting used to this feeling, the character changes which left me feeling confused again. I ended the book hating him; this time for different reasons.
It’s not all bad. There are several beautiful lines that Fante wove into this book. Fante also created a character that can be seen differently by everyone who reads the book.
