it was amazing

Imagination Is the Divine Body in Every Man -- William Blake (page 10)

Whenever you’re lacking confidence or feeling too full of yourself, Ueland’s If You Want to Write is a good choice for reading material. Although this is a book about writing, Ueland adds that “Whenever I say write, I also mean anything you love and want to do or make.” She encourages us not to be anxious or timid or obsequious, but to give our imaginations the highest priority and zealously follow our desires. If you’re feeling too scared or too shy or too proud or too self-conscious about your art, read Chapter VII: “Be Careless! Be Reckless! Be a Lion! Be a Pirate!” I have a special place in my heart for Chapter X, “Why Women Who Do Too Much Housework Should Neglect It for Their Writing”. I know when my house is spotless I am suffering from a serious case of resistance and avoidance.
