Jennifer Hubbard wrote a lovely book for older teens about a boy returning to his life after an attempt at suicide. In many ways, Ryan is a typical teen. Yes, he has secrets and issues but nothing overly dramatic. I ended up feeling that was a strength of the book because it reminded me of how difficult those teens years can be--how the smallest hurt can feel overwhelming.
I "won" this book through a fundraiser for Henryville, IN--it was donated by the author which proves that Jennifer Hubbard is a nice person as well as a great writer.
