Interesting and fascinating read for baseball fans. I read it in the context of applying Billy Beane's concepts to work (philanthropy). "Rethink everything you learned or think you learned... Statistics were not merely inadequate; they lied... when numbers acquire the significance of language, they acquire the power to do all things which language can do: to become fiction and drama and poetry."

I've become an A's fan; my dad's favorite team. He loved Reggie Jackson!
