really liked it
Read from April 11 to 18, 2012

the book revolve around Amber. Amber is a werewolf, a special one but she didn't realize that she was special. from early on, her mother told her that their lives are in danger if they're caught by her home pack, thus the need of constant moving. but at one point, when her mother finally found a man, Amber begged to let them stay there and live normally. but, there, her mother was caught and was forced to return to her home pack. young amber managed to flee with the help of an old man who introduced himself as her grand father and brought her to an orphanage. there she met Blake.

for me, the book gives a new spin on the werewolf tale. certain birth day brings special power, mixing blood can mixed the abilities, etc. and the pack live is different from others werewolves book that i've read before. it's fun to read how amber and blake interact, amber and blake's pack member, amber and her family. though i feel that she's way too easy to forgive and forget (regarding her family) but overall it's still sweet to see she finally reconnect with her family. at the beginning of the book, i had a little trouble following the storyline (it jumped back and forth between present day and the past) but maybe it's because the lack of markers. and i feel the ending was a little bit rushed. even with these minor discomfort, i still able to enjoy the book. it's a light reading for werewolves fans, not to gory and bloody. great job for a debut novel.
