bookshelves: sorta-read-dnf-skipped-to-the-end

I'm past 3/4-way reading this book and I've had it.

It has frustrated me. For one, I'm tired of reading vivid descriptions about rooms, relics, bronze lions, statues...and most of everything else. It hurts my brain imagining everything like it's written.

There's nothing exciting happening to keep me hooked, the characters aren't all that interesting or likeable, and I'm not sold on the idea of romance between Sera and Bishop. Seriously, she calls him Bishop like the rest of the world does, which is his surname, rather than by his first name, Max. I mean, if you like a guy, you don't treat him like everyone else does, right?

Sera is such a vacuous character that instead of cheering her on or being on her side, I don't really care what happens to her, whether she'll be swallowed up by one of those weird lions or lost in time forever.
