3.5 stars
While I haven't read many Christina Lauren books.. for the most part, I have liked what I have read. And this one was no exception.
The Un-honeymooners is a light hearted romance, with likable characters & a fun premise. Not super emotionally compelling, but very witty, and laugh-out-loud funny.
I guess my only grouse is that this book seemed to drag on for a bit (it was almost halfway through the book) before the sparks actually started flying between the protagonists.
Oh and I would have loved a more drawn out climax / resolution. Not that anything was particularly wrong with the existing climax scene. I guess I just would have loved to see some more angst or at-least a more emotionally charged climax.
But be that as it may, I still recommend this book if you are a fan of the author duo or enjoy the genre. And especially if you enjoy either the hate-to-love or fake-dating trope in romances.
Audiobook Review / Rec: At first I tried this book on audio and really hated the narration, so had to switch to the print version, which I enjoyed much more.
Especially because Ethan, the male lead in this one, is given this due-bro voicing which is so far out from his character that the words / characterization constantly conflicted with the voice.
