Dartanyon's debut book set is pure genius. Between the detailed accounts of his childhood and budding identity theft enterprise in his memoir (The Master Identity Thief) to guiding readers through ways to protect themselves (America's Domestic War), Dartanyon gives the reader a no-holds-barred look into the tricks and strategies of a criminal mastermind. Throughout The Master Identity Thief, Dartanyon takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster as stories make you hurt for his family's past, awestruck at his mind's inner workings, and, yes, even border on hating him for hurting those closest to him. In America's Domestic War, Dartanyon redeems himself by giving the unsuspecting consumer all the tools they need to protect themselves from the exact attacks orchestrated in The Master Identity Thief and beyond. DAW's story was one that needed to be told, and I applaud him for being brave enough to risk public scrutiny for the sake of educating those same people who might judge him the harshest.
