This book is boring. When i picked this up i thought that this is going to be a light and fun read with comedies thrown in the way.

I was wrong. This is a dead bore.

Katie Chandler is a good ol' Texas girl in a big bad New York. she start seeing things that are not supposed to be, but chalked it up to weirdness of NYC. So she get the surprise of her life when she was interviewed by Owen, Rod and Trix who claims to be wizard and fairies and they wanted to recruit her. Apparently, people like her who doesn't have a drop of magic blood in her vein is very important because she sees the world as it is. So no amount of magic can trick or affect her.

Anyway, i think all the characters fall flat in this book. Katie is boring, she is the epitome of a girl next door but she comes out as too perfect, she can solves any problems thrown in her way, be it solving marketing problems for magic stuff or throwing a rock at a griffin to save a certain wizard's life.

Owen as Katie's crush, is also boring. Yes, he has great power, and yes he is shy. But i don't get much than that.

The tension is flat, and the bad guy is laughable.
So overall, everything is running too perfect in this little magical world.
