it was amazing

Loved this. I kept expecting to be hit with some sort of post-punk anti-myth plot points (a la Lev Grossman's The Magicians) but was relieved to find a very true-to-form quest story. Fast-paced (mostly), well developed characters, and a great view into a quite-plausible near future world. Highly recommended for gen-x or gen-y readers; you'll find many references to your childhood that are both comforting and terrifying. But also recommended to any fan of speculative fiction.
