really liked it

This was my first Star Wars book I've ever read. I never wanted to become the guy who reads a Star Wars book on the subway. But KOTOR was such a cool game, and Darth Revan was so cool, that I simply had to take the plunge.

The book is pretty good. It's about Revan trying to seek out the meaning behind his nightmares, while a Sith Lord tries to suppress an overthrow of the emperor. Karpyshyn does a kick ass job writing for the Sith. He can write scenes where two characters are trying to outsmart each other perfectly. His romance dialogue/Revan scenes weren't as strong, but got better as the story progressed.

I liked how he filled in the gaps of the KOTOR storyline with this novel. Also I was surprised how jam packed the last 30 pages were. Overall I enjoyed the book, but it was hard for me to get over the fact that this Revan wasn't my Revan. I suppose that will always be a problem when a character from an interactive medium is transcribed to a static one.
