really liked it
Read from June 22 to July 10, 2012

If you haven't read any Vonnegut start with Cat's Cradle or Slaughterhouse Five.

Breakfast of Champions is Kurt Vonnegut singing in the shower for three-hundred pages. He doesn't care what it sounds like to other people. He doesn't care if it makes sense. He doesn't care if anyone is listening. He wrote the whole thing for himself. And I liked it.

It definitely takes a while to develop into anything that I would call a story but once things get rolling you're in (and some of the fluff in the earlier sections gets refined and reintroduced into the finish).

Don't read this if you're not willing to think. Vonnegut doesn't allow his readers to leave their minds in neutral while being entertained.
