Despite the horrible writing and lack of editing, this is a great read. Anastasia is a mousy, nervous, literary student who somehow gets talked into helping her roomate by interviewing millionare mogul Christian Grey. The chemistry between the two is palpable and he tries to bring her into his world of BDSM and his "red room of pain".

Although the book could have used an editor or three, the story itself was impossible to stop reading. And although the BDSM scenes are mild, sensitive readers might be uncomfortable with the notion of contracts, voluntary submission/slavery, and "kept women".

It's a fun read that would benefit from good editing.
