it was amazing

If you want to be an author who sells lots of books, it's important to remember that publishing is a business. Yet when you're deep in the throes of creation, immersed in a fictional world or fascinated by research for a non-fiction book, it can be all too easy to take your eye of the proverbial ball, and end up producing a work which doesn't have broad appeal. I say this as one who's learned this the hard way so now, looking back, I can see why some of my titles have been more successful than others.

The great thing about Kate Harrison's book, 'Pitch Power', is that it can help prevent your falling into this trap after the fact, providing a steer so from the off you're writing with a clear sense of purpose throughout, ending up with a work that that is much more likely to capture the interest of agents and editors, and, ultimately, the reading public. No matter if you're as yet unpublished, an indie author or a known name, there's much to be gained from Kate's step-by-step approach to idea development. Vital considerations such as finding an enticing title, being sure of the hook, creating a tagline and delivering the right content are all backed up by mini 'case histories' from authors, agents and editors. The result is a book that is both an indispensable tool and a highly entertaining read, that will boost morale and provide support on any author's writing journey.
