Book 1 in The Ealdspell Cycle series
Rating: 4/5

Æroreh (pronounced Aurora) is a fairytale retelling of Sleeping Beauty and it does not disappoint. Although some of the world building can be a bit confusing, there is a glossary at the very beginning of the book to help in clarification. The mythpunk genre is fun and fresh.

The book is full of action and adventure and it's very exciting to follow our heroes in this fantasy world full of light and shadows and magic.

Not your typical damsel in distress story - Æroreh's character changes and finds her own strength throughout the story. Félip's character is strong and full of grit.

Highly recommend for those that enjoy fairytale retellings with a new spin.

My thanks to the author for an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.
