it was amazing
Read 2 times. Last read December 4, 2019.

This is an allegory, but I have little to no idea as to what it means.

But I like it that way.

The postlude even made the same point. There are theological truths all throughout this book, but even the protagonist wasn't sure what it all meant.

But I honestly prefer it just the way it is. It's a fun story. I like that I can enjoy it without overanalyzing it. I'm certainly not saying that it wouldn't be good to overanalyze it and learn a few things, but it can definitely stand on its own. Many allegories can't.

Of course, some things are obvious. What it says about human nature alone makes this a very beneficial book to read.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the other books in the trilogy. My kids are, too!
