really liked it

After finishing this, I feel like I am now an advanced comics reader. This thing was crazy! So many characters, so much obscure comics history, and so many mind-warping sci-fi concepts. I have come to expect nothing less from Grant Morrison (in fact, if it isn't one already, his name should definitely become an adjective, like Kafaesque: Morrisonian!), but it still feels like a treat to read, especially in the context of superhero comics where it feels thrillingly subversive, like Superman and Batman are doing things they shouldn't be doing because they are so high concept and awesome.

Not gonna lie, though, this shizz was HARD. Like, Moby Dick hard. I meant challenging but rewarding. Get your mind out of the gutter!) I had to use the online Annotated Final Crisis ( as a supplemental reading guide. This book is not for people who are not REALLY into superheroes or head-exploding sci-fi, but for me it was worth the effort.
