** spoiler alert ** Widge accompanies the Chamberlain’s Men on a tour when the Queen’s physician has decided all theaters in London will be closed for the season due to plague. As well as acting the women’s parts and anything he is asked to do by the sharer’s, Will also acts as Shakespeare’s scribe, when his arm is broken in a brawl. He helps him write All’s Well that Ends Well, according to the novel.
