What does it mean when you feel no fear and your body's strong enough to allow you to push well beyond what those around you can endure? You get, in part, the premise for this book.

Equal parts dystopia and superhero comic, I found this to a a fast, entertaining read. It's different from her earlier work, vastly so, but no less quality for that. It's a book with some action, a lot of fear, some tender relationships and, above all, a lot of hope. At its heart, I felt like that was what this book was mostly about. Hope, and how it survives, how it dies and how it grows with the action of the people involved.
