This was a coming of age story about a guy in his senior year of high school who feels the pressure of never having been out with a girl, but he secretly dreams about the new girl at school. His buddies are talking about their own dismal failure to make it through the rites of passage to manhood and have decided that the new girl, Amy, will be their big opportunity. The pressure is now on for David to find a way to get to her first before his horny buddies mess things up good.

The novella was an interesting exploration into the average teen boys mind. I liked that the author chose an average guy whose a decent sort, but lacks confidence. I liked how he grew by the end of the story. The characters were very well written in fact I think we could all claim to have gone to high school with them.

Nice read!
