it was amazing
bookshelves: books-that-i-read-again

I was in two places when I read this book. As a reader, it was enthralling, to say the least. There is a certain lyrical quality to Sharanya's words that perfectly brought out the poetic anguish of Kodhai. As an author, I am filled with envy because this is a book that I wish I had written.

I took a pause from reading the book when the Kindle showed me that only 20% of the book remained. I couldn't bid goodbye yet. I knew what was to come but I yet I could feel Kodhai's anguish and pain so intensely.

Any book that takes me away from my own existence, world, mundane tasks and life is a body of work that I extremely revere. This falls under the same category.

It's intense, evocative and lyrical.
