Book club pick. I can't decide if I liked this book or not...... maybe give it 2.5 stars? I did finish it though. It was just so shallow and didn't go nearly enough into the actual FOOD. I did learn a few pointers though, but doubt I will ever make a recipe that calls for bonemarrow or clarified butter. The maggot infested kitchen part could have been left out too-ick. The book was also really jumpy, I could never see where she was in her timeline.

Great concept, just lacked in substance in my opinion.
