really liked it

If Delaney and Dick had a baby and Bacigalupi raised it, this would be how the little rascal spoke. I loved the words. The plot was fair, the people okay, but the words were the magic trick. There's never really a reason for Case to be the cowboy, you know. There's no science to explain it, but the handwavium is done with language, and so you don't care. It's striking and lovely. Gibson doesn't tell you how the science is done, he shows you how it feels. And, the best part was that he didn't gum it up with crummy 80's misogyny and weird nudity and violence.
