Untouchable by Scott O'Connor, published this year, is quite a read. Draws you in quickly. Interesting inner dialogue with the trauma clean up technicians as well as drawing on one's protective mother bear inclinations trying to protect The Kid. There are few books that I would like to see a woodcut from; this is one of them. The detail with which the author describes the inner walls of the burned out building are good, yes; but, oh, to have a visual! I would love it. Not the happiest book in the stack, shelf, store; but thoughtful, moving, and long-lasting. I've finished the book over a week ago, and the characters are still in my head and heart.
