Another Payne and Jones mystery thriller. This time in search of the Swan King's lost treasure. Not as gripping or gory as The Lost Throne, but pleasant enough. Could have done without the lame sexist jokes that drew me away from the story, but entertaining otherwise. Kuzneski has obviously done massive amounts of research and this is used to great effect throughout the book.

Payne and Jones are taking in some R&R when a call comes through from an old acquaintance. A set of crates has been found in a cave/hideout in the woods in Bavaria and there are interesting markings on the crate covers. A tale of international intrigue, legend and pursuit of the truth, The Secret Crown won't disappoint Kuzneski's faithful followers.
