A very good read. If you liked any of the other books written by Jessica Sorensen(which I LOVED), then you will be pleased with Darkness Falls, also. It is a vampire story, but not like some of the stories these days. The vamps were actually human, before the horrid virus hit, then turned people into flesh eating, blood spewing monsters. The ones that were not hit with this virus are being "protected" in a secured city by the Highers, whom are not very nice and get rid of anyone they do not like, or that disobeys them. It is up to the main character in the story, Kayla, to get the world back to the way it was before the virus hit. She has special "powers" that let her do things that other humans can not, which terrifies everyone, but is the key to saving the world. This is an amazing story of a girl who doesn't really know her true identity, forgets things that can help her and people she once knew, and tries her hardest to protect those she cares about, and is trying to save the rest of the world... before it's too late.
