it was amazing
bookshelves: 2012, audiobook, science-fiction
Read from March 31 to April 06, 2012

The strongest yet in the series.

Finally everything isn't Biscuits and spicy beefalo for the hero, and there's some drama, intrigue, and conflict.

In a way, this book reminded me more of books I have read about leadership than a science fiction novel. It is an excellent microcosm of what happens with a group of people when leadership is lacking. Turf wars, improper conduct, poor working habits, and lack of pride are all hallmarks of those conditions, and the author nails the situation perfectly.

He also nails what it is like for someone who does have an understanding of proper leadership has to face while attempting to make those changes from within, and the push-back he receives while doing that.

Really a good book, and one I would suggest not only to science fiction fans, but also to anyone looking for a simple fiction story about leadership theory.
