it was amazing
bookshelves: brilliant-but-guilty-pleasure

I think this book might be placed in either the Gay and Lesbian Literature section. Or even the Young Adult selection. Though I doubt the latter.

However the protagonist is a gay teen boy. And it chronichles his way through acceptance and a new life.

It's set in a New England Beach Town (of which I'm extremely fond) and the aforementioned main character moves into an old house with his mother. He soon makes a friend who becomes more than a friend, while discovering he is gay.

There are bits hidden inside the house by a former owner that are never fully explained but some are of beautiful poems, some small treasures.

There's many facets to this book and it was one I didn't want to put down.
