"Reality isn't quite so solid as most would believe."
The Festering Ones was my introduction to SH Cooper's work, and I loved it! This book opens really well, and it drew me in right away. The story is unsettling; I was completely captivated, and dying to know more. There are some great creepy moments, and the wordbuilding was good.
I was so interested in the story that I found myself wishing there was a more information. The ending felt a little incomplete, so I'm hoping that means there's another book coming after this one. I enjoyed this one so much, so I would love to see more stories set in this world. If you love reading about cults, creepy creatures, and good characters, I highly recommend picking this one up!
CW - suicide
