Kieli This is the first Clique book I ever read, even though it is the third in the series. I think out of every Clique book, this one is the one people can relate to most. It has all of the aspects of middle school/high school: the drama, the cat-fights, the rumors, the backstabbing, the jealousy, the trying to be better than someone. And the author writes it out just perfectly. It even has some twists to it, like the Teen People photo shoot, I know that probably would never happen to me and I don't know anyone at my school who has had an opportunity like that, so cool! But anyway, I thought this was a very good book that showed just how mean girls can be, especially the rich ones, because they naturally think because of their money they can do whatever they want, and get away with it. But it's not true. There is consequences every time. Now that I think about it, when Alicia got used by Harris for the tickets, it was karma for backstabbing her friends. I mean, I don't know if that's what the author was thinking but it could very well be true. Even the popular kids get back stabbed and used. That is what this book shows. And even the popular kids have an insecure side, and their biggest goal is to outshine everyone. They're not what they look like they are. Sure, they have cool clothes but sometimes they have even colder hearts. As in, only caring about themselves and their popularity. And it's sad but it's true. Anyway, I really did enjoy this book, because I could relate it to my own life, not because I'm mean or snobby like them, but because I've seen things like this happen so I know how they feel because I've seen it.
