In this “prequel” to Peter Pan, we meet a boy named Peter, the leader of a group of orphaned boys, and Molly, an apprentice “Starcatcher” whose job it is to keep evildoers from getting “starstuff.” “Starstuff” is magical material that falls from the sky and brings happiness, power, oh, and the ability to fly. Peter gets drawn in to Molly’s adventure trying to keep a trunk of “starstuff” from falling into the wrong hands. This is a swashbuckling pirate’s tale that introduces you to all the characters you know and love (including the crocodile), and how they came to be the way they are. Great for grades 4-6.
