really liked it

I won Aberration as a First Reads book. I really liked it. The story, while short, was fully developed, had a quick pace and held my attention from the beginning. I liked the glimpses into characters' lives that the author reveals, but I do wish there had been a little bit more character development. We get the sense of who Michael is and Fran, but we learn almost nothing about Drake, Rob or Gary. I liked the character of Guy Mann. He reminded me of Steven King's Roland character from the Dark Tower series. All in all, this was a good tale and one that I will probably revisit again in the future.
