it was amazing

Love the story set-up! Mail-order bride, Miranda, Texas ranch, a heroic heroine trying to take care of her siblings after their parents dies in the Great Chicago Fire. Then you have a hero, Jake Creed, who suffered a terrible tragedy and pulls away emotionally from others. Johnston does an excellent job of showing Jake trying to resist falling in love with Miranda, and Miranda is one determined woman and wins Jake's heart. Johnston always pens a great story that you hate to see end.
