really liked it

I quite enjoyed following Alex's convoluted route through Yale's campus trailed by her past and the pasts of others, seeking truth and belonging among the wealthy and self-important. It's helped me remember why I always read the first book in a series only after the whole series is out. Darn you, Bardugo.

Why do authors always have their characters use the term "bled out" instead of "bled to death"? Is it the influence of crime dramas?
