really liked it
bookshelves: historic, mystery

I sum this up to everyone as a cross between Jane Austen and Agatha Christie, which is a lot of fun. A couple of times I thought I had spotted answers before the protaganist, but one turned out to be a red herring, and another was a demostration of the difference between what a modern day and a regency woman would know. I was afraid concentration on the historical setting would make a mediocre mystery, but both elements were strong in the book, and the characters were all well fleshed out and interesting as well.
