This is a very well researched book, all aspects of technology are talked about from robots to smartphones. I must say I mostly agree with the author, when she is worried and has noticed the effects of technology on kids and adults. I suppose that helps giving this book 5 stars, but still it's well written and very complete. One can object that only the future will tell us how we will use technology, still I can't help noticing my kids behavior and mine, exactly like Sherry Turkle experiences it. For instance the way we can be connected all the time but wanting less and less physical interaction. I like the numerous examples she gives to make her point and how she has been studying the behavior of kids and adults on a long period of time. She has a point when she says that they are very good things that come with technology, but hopes that it does not end up dehumanizing us too much.
