Initially, I enjoyed The Best Laid Plans. It was a pleasant and funny story about our quirky Canadian election system. Unfortunately, the story quickly became predictable (it was quite obvious early on that the Liberals would win) . As well, the stereotypes were well used and boring (Liberals good, Conservatives bad). By the end of the book I was not just asleep, but in a coma from the sheer boredom of it.

My rating: 1 star
