it was ok

It was a fun story and I noticed that the Tim Burton movie was more like the book than the 1970's movie was. The only thing about it that I didn't like was the rationalizing the exploitation of workers. Roald Dahl has Willie Woncka saying the Oompa Loompas were better off working for chocolate than they were living in the trees, hiding from predators, eating bugs, in the hot jungle. This is the same argument slave owners used to justify slavery and modern day CEO's of sweatshops use to justify the way they take advantage of their workers.
I also don’t share his view on patenting ideas.
And don't tell me it was "just a story" there's no such thing.

Christina Nguyen you can't compare children's book with slaves history. the slaves worked in poor living conditions and the owners treated them badly. the workers in this book enjoyed working for mr. wonka and I couldn't imagine anyone complaining to work in a chocolate factory where fun existed.
