This was a book that was getting thrown away at school. Who throws books away?!!! I rescued it and carried it around for a long time, reading a few pages here and there in my down time at work. Finally sat down and read the end of it at home yesterday. Originally published as young adult, I think the school was getting rid of it because it has too large a vocabulary and kids are getting dumber. I loved the story, even though it is a bit predictable at the end. The character of Juniper is one of those amazing calm, understanding, and all-knowing people we all want to be someday.
