This book is about fox who want to be tigers. They paint themselves as tigers by putting black stripes across their fur. It ends up being a game for all of the animals. The turtle turns himself into a race car, the rabbit a robot. All of the animals turn themselves into something they'd dream of being. When the rain comes the fox stripes are washed away. A squirrel reminds them that they don't need to be a tiger, because being a fox is just as good. I think the book teaches kids that we all want to be someone else at some point, but the world wouldn't be the same without yourself. Being you is the best you can be.
