Get ready to be transported in a dream, or a nightmare, I should say, where colors, flavors, tactile sensations (mainly pain), odors, everything contributes to an almost physical feeling. In a degraded futuristic setting of the outskirts of Milan, men and cartoons live the last act of a saga described in a previous novel and few short stories by the same author. Three parallel stories and dramas intersect and converge to a final climax on the top of a building surrounded by a magmatic flow of catoon material and city debris. The characters in the story represents at different levels our inner and most dark impulses. The "thriller" component of the story provides constant pace and suspense that keep the reader engaged from beginning to the end. The kaleidoscopic descriptions of the city submerged by the flowing cartoon magma and illuminated by a surreal sun constantly challenge the reader imagination. At the end you'll experience the physical need to go out to the real sun and get a breath of fresh air......
