Teton County Call No: F ROBBINS

Marisa's rating: 4 stars

Sissy Hanshaw, Tom Robbin's beautiful and thumb-endowed main character, has seen America. She sees it through her cross-country extreme hitchhiking. Now Sissy finds her way to the Rubber Rose Ranch and her becomes a very philosophical one. In my first experience with Tom Robbins, I have to agree with his reputation - funny, bizarre and creative. I loved Robbin's ability to write directly to the audience and sort of wink at us. He did end up getting a bit long-winded with the historical philosophical storytelling towards the end. This was a great traveling read and definitely allows the reader to explore Robbins' crazy cowgirl world.
