THIS ONE HAD MY PULSE RACING, THE ROMANCE LACED WITH SENSUAL ANTAGONISM JUST MADE THIS A PAGE TURNER. I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. IF YOU LIKE THE ESTRANGED MARRIAGE TROUPE, YOU WILL ENJOY THIS ONE.

HERO used to be a young man who was too lost in himself and several distractions in life to fully appreciate the woman he calls wife. At 18, he married the girl he loves and they were waiting to become family but everything fell apart when his insecurities and drunken behaviour changed him into a neglectful husband and a man who couldn't prioritize his own family. Smart as he is, Niall didn't learn the pain of loss and was only spurred by his wife's desertion to change into a better man. Though his motivation towards success was funnelled by bitter resentment and hurt, it made him into the new man he is today. 6 years later his wife demands for a divorce in order to marry someone else but he's not going to let her get it that easily, forcing her to stay for 6 weeks for the loss of time if she wants the divorce. Who knew that this was a chance for them to be reacquainted and discover how the other has changed and that they barely knew each other at all even if the passion still burns bright.

HEROINE was a starry eyed young woman who fell in love, got pregnant and married but later life and jealous females got in the way, driving a wedge between her and her husband due to lack of trust and such. She escaped to Paris, groomed herself into sophistication and made social friends - a new life. When her best friend proposed to her, she decided a platonic marriage may not be so bad and needed her husband to agree to a divorce. Meeting Niall again brings back old hurts and finally it's time for them to forgive and forget if they can. Their sensual games fuelled by pride will keep you on your toes and their passion was Yums.

OVERALL it was a pretty exciting story filled with jealousy, passion and a little bit of conniving planning. It was a good highlander story to pass the time. Definitely going to read more stories by this author.
